How to do this pose

  3. Release the hands first, support the torso and rise slowly with bent knees.

Before you begin

Avoid the hand-under-foot position with wrist pain and stop for dizziness or back symptoms.

What you should feel

A moderate leg stretch and light palm contact.

Benefits

Explores hamstring length and a supported standing fold.

Common mistakes

Standing heavily on the hands or straightening the knees forcibly.
